WKC World Championships 2019

Team ACMAC Inspire travelled to Niagara Falls for the World Kick Boxing Championships and come home with a great medal haul.

Tiff Richardson & Hayden Lindley won Double Gold in their individual sections and Tiff added another Gold and Bronze in Team fighting. There was only 2 others on the England Team who won both their Divisions, they was amongst the best Fighters at the event that had 17 countries in attendance.

Both cruised to victory in Continuous and then turned their attention to Points where they both had tough finals but when it came to it both were dominant in Points too. They set the standard for everyone to follow in future years.

Brother & Sister Joe & Olivia Cope struck gold for the first time at World Level and they also both won a Bronze. They are the first World Champions from our Rossington School.

Joe was on incredible Form winning his individual section after a bad decision in the finalist year and Olivia’s Team smashed their way to the World Team Title.

Stephen Jones also won our final Gold Medalist and also won a Bronze. Steve fought the best I had seen him fight especially in the final,

Lucy Crittenden & Kelly Ashbridge both won 2 Silver Medals and a Bronze Medal. Both fought well and should have been bringing home more.

Bailey Willis & Micheala Hempstock both came home with Silver & Bronze, their first time fighting at World Level.

Wayne & George Emsley both came home with a Bronze. So did our youngest Team member Oscar Snedker who is only 11 years old.

Jon Glarvey & Cieran Ashbridge didn’t medal this time but trained so hard and gave great performances, they did their country and our Team proud.

Our total medal haul was 8 Gold, 6 Silver and 11 Bronze.

It was an amazing week and such a fantastic experience. All the parents and family members played their part too.
